Sometimes, flying by the seat of your brain is more practical... :)
She should fly... cable is over-rated anyway... and you never know what you really need until you get to miss it for a while.
Eww, what a bummer leesh to be on! I challenge all, entreat you: turn off your cell phone for a few days, leave it at home; turn your TV towards the wall and unplug your computer -- just for a few days. Disconnect from the immediate-speed world and take part in the isolation of yourself and those about you. Your thoughts become louder and you remember what it's like enjoying your own company... it's scary, frightening, but it feels goooood. = )
